Here is Bertha Sweat's father, Richard Gordon Hiatt (who thankfully didn't name her Bertha) playing "Blues in the Night" for his Great-Grandson Wyatt Dean Hallstrom. Great-grandpa Hiatt is passing down the "Blues in the Night" boogie gene to Wyatt, who will, I hope, pass it down to HIS great-grandchild. That would be in the year, okay, whoa, hold it....I was doing the math and pretending that if Wyatt had a child when he was 28, it would be the year 2035; and if that child had a child at 28 (Wyatt's grandchild) it would be the year 2063; and if that child had a child at 28 (Wyatt's great-grandchild) it would be the year 2091; and if Wyatt's great-grandchild learned "Blues in the Night" when he was 8 years old it would be 2099? So would the next year be 3000? WOULD IT BE? COULD IT BE? SHOULD IT BE? No, it would be 2100?
Lauren and Reagan playing a duet, with Wyatt and Eli rocking out, Jonas and Elise and Brandon and Andrea conversing. ROCK ON!
Such a good photo of great-grandma and grandpa Hiatt with Ethan!
This is a little blurry, but I had to add it because Ethan is smiling with his teeth!
and down to the present a photo with the fam inside......................
.................and such a beautiful photo outside!
Saying good-bye to cousin Jane, with Aunts Andrea and Denise looking on.
Ethan saying good-bye to Reagan and lots of family that night before entering the MTC.
And so we said our fond good-byes to all the Hallstrom clan as they headed out to the MTC and then home to Minnesota. See you next time. NOT next year, we will see you before then. Gosh, I miss you tons!!
Andrew and Andrea and family spent time with us for awhile, then left, and then we got to enjoy more time when they came back for Andrea's graduation from BYU. Before they left this leg of the trip, they invited us along for a trip downtown to Temple Square. Here are my fellow Temple Square sycamore tree huggers!
Whitney, Brandon and Caroline Sweat at the Temple square gardens 2015.
If you look really close you can see someone's arm in the far background. It was two girls who were obviously employees, er, gardeners. I have never seen two people take more time intricately pruning a flowering bush than these two. They were killing us!
Such a Beautiful photo!
Beautiful + two grandparents!!
We were able to take in an organ concert too. And this photo isn't staged! And THEN, who should appear? That will be post Seis! (I totally had to look up how to spell that).
XO
Mom
Lots of great photos!! I love the one of Angie's family outside and Andrew's family in front of the temple is great too! A picture of Ethan smiling with his teeth is an accomplishment. You're turning into the quite the photographer.
